Desserts by Donna started years ago in my grandmother’s kitchen. I was always on her hip, watching her every move as she baked for our family — and that’s where my passion was born.
Later in life, baking became something more: therapy. Over the past few years, I’ve been through a lot of tragedy, and baking is what got me through it.
I won’t pretend it’s always gone smoothly — I’ve had plenty of kitchen disasters, including more than a few pies that started out as cakes! But I kept practicing, and along the way I turned my family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers into my personal taste-testing squad.
I believe that to truly love your craft, you have to be willing to practice it — a lot. And I have.
Every treat is made right in my own kitchen, from scratch, with a whole lot of love. Cakes, pies, cookies — if you can dream it, I can bake it.
